Although the cautionary advice given below is already displayed at our branches, we feel it necessary to reiterate the points for benefit and guidance of our customers and members of public.
(1)
Introduce a customer only if you
a)
Know him/her personally
b)
know his permanent address
c)
can identify him when required
d)
ensure that name and address given by him in the account opening form are correct
(2)
Tender your cash only at the authorised cash counter at the Branch and take receipt for the cash deposited. The receipted counterfoil embossed with 'Received by Cash' stamp duly signed by authorised official shoul be retained for record.
(3)
The account holder should collect his SB/CD Pass Books duly completed/authenticated by the Bank's authorised official in the Bank on the same day as far as possible and the entries be checked to satisfy about the amount of deposit and/ or withdrawal before leaving the counter. Any discrepancy noticed must be reported promptly.
(4)
The holders of Current Account should on receipt of monthly/fortnightly statement of their acount, verify the entries for correctness and discrepancies, if any, should be reported immediately.
(5)
Keep your cheque book and pass book safely and do not allow others to have an access to these. You are advised to keep them under lock and key.
(7)
Report the loss of cheque book/pass book immediately to the branch where you are maintaining the account.
(8)
Pay-in-Slips in respect of deposits should be filled in personally or by someone well known to the depositor, but not by the Bank staff.
(9)
Advise the branch promptly about change in address.
(10)
Bring any irregular feature to the notice of the Manager.
(11)
Also, in case of any difficulty or inconvenience in conducting business, customers should mee the Manager of the Branch.

(1) Do not sign cheques in blank in advance.
(2)    

The cash to be deposited by an accoun-holder in his/her account, or money for exchange into Indian Rupee or Ngultrum under no circumstances be handed over to any Bank employee in his/her personal capacity outside the Bank. The Bank will not accept any responsibility whatsoever in case there is any complaint of non-deposit of cash/cheque in the account of any customer for the cash handed over to the Bank employee personally outside the bank and without obtaining receipt for the same signed by authorised official.

(3) Do not allow unknown persons to count your cash.
(4)
While depositing cash or tendering instrument for collection, do not indulge in unnecessary talking with others.
(5)
Don't hesitate to refer your complaints, grievances and suggestions promptly to the Bank. Bank is fully committed to fastest redressal thereof to the total satisfaction of its customers.
